Right now, Penticton’s Japanese garden is at rest.

It’s a beautiful, serene place year-round; here’s an autumn view.

Happy Wednesday.

I really enjoy watching the ducks and the flock living next to Penticton Creek are quite the characters. They are constantly chatting and interacting, both happily and angrily.

The city keeps them fed and they have lots of sheltering trees and bushes nearby (which they really needed during the unusually cold storm that hit Penticton in December).

Happy Friday; happy weekend.

We had good weather for the most part on our return drive from the south to the north.

Snow tipped mountains reflected a bright sun.

Happy Thursday.
Penticton creek empties into Lake Okanagan near a very popular walking trail.

I especially enjoyed morning walks there with our friend’s dog whom we looked after over the winter break.
It was great to stroll again along the lake, particularly with a dog who enjoyed every second!
A morning scene from a dog-walking ramble.

Beautifully clear and lovely.
Happy Monday.
The ducks are happy to have their creek back.

For a couple of days just before December 25, their little home was completely covered in snow and ice. This is much better.
Happy Sunday.
First there was some of this.

And then this. Sun!

Then there was some of this.

Happy Saturday.
A snowy morning on the lake.

Happy Friday.
We took our friend’s dog for a walk along Skaha Lake.

Poochie loved the scents; the humans were rewarded with a beautiful sky.
Happy Thursday.

My fine feathered friend “The Daredevil” and I wish you all great health for next year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR
A beautiful eagle shot from Wayne at Tofino Photography. I hope you stop by Wayne’s blog to take a look at his many spectacular nature pictures. They are truly stunning.
