Summer Pond Lilies

A summer memory from the mountains near Penticton.

When we’re buried in snow and it’s -38C (-22F) out, it’s time to remind yourself that yes, there is such a thing as summer, and you can wear sandals and shorts instead of parkas and snow pants. After walking to work and melting the frost from my eyelashes once I got inside, looking at some summer scenes was a good thing.

Happy Wednesday.

    1. We have a wind chill warning tonight of -55C (-67F)! I don’t think I’ve experienced that since I was posted to CFS Alert (it’s the most northerly inhabited place in the world). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFS_Alert
At least it’s not blowing; you only have to contend with the wind you create as you move. Yikes. The summer scenes are definitely needed! Stay warm, Lori. 🙂

  1. And here I was complaining about the cold, but that’s nothing compared to up north! Stay warm out there. Summer will be here before we know it! Enjoy the rest of your week. Linda

    1. Thanks, Linda. We have been experiencing very cold temperatures lately (they are supposed to spread over much of N. America) but they are warming up some now, thankfully. Agreed; summer will be here before we know it!

I'd love to hear what you have to say!
