Happy Friday, happy weekend (when we get an extra hour)!
I took this photo last week before leaving the Okanagan.

There’s something very lonely about a late autumn or winter beach, but it still holds the promise of warmer days ahead. Spring and summer will arrive again.
Happy Thursday.
Once we left High Level, Alberta, and headed due north, we encountered temperatures at 0° accompanied by a freezing rain/snow mix. It made driving interesting, to say the least.

Happy Wednesday from the snowy Northwest Territories.
The day drew to an early close as the sun set behind the mountains during our recent drive through the Rocky Mountains.

Happy Tuesday.
We encountered a lot of cloud on our recent Rocky Mountain transit.

Happy Sunday.
I am heading to the subarctic today; to the land of 60° north latitude (and more). I will miss this beautifully slow southern autumn in the Okanagan but I will also carry that beauty with me.

Happy Friday.
Since moving from one end of Penticton to the other, I haven’t posted many recent photos of Skaha Lake.

I took this picture of the east side of the lake soon after a rain shower passed through. I like the interplay of cloud and light and the contrast of the bright autumn-clad trees.
Happy Thursday.
I saw a sycamore tree in its glorious autumn colours underlit by a couple of large ground lights.

The effect was striking.

Happy Wednesday.

Happy Tuesday.
Still blooming in the October sun.

Happy Monday.
