Have a good Sunday.

Have a good Sunday.
I love how warm, calm and clear the weather can be during autumn.

A walk along the east side of Okanagan Lake was lovely. People were swimming and enjoying the perfect temperature.

We saw signs of seasonal closures – ice cream and snack stands; people winterising their boats – but there were lots of other examples of people enjoying the weather, too.
Wherever you are, I hope you are having good weather too.
Happy Wednesday.
I found this tree that’s well on its way to turning a full autumn red.

Happy Wednesday.
As my son used to say when he was a teenager, sometimes you just need to chillax (especially if it’s a beautiful September day). 🙂

Happy Sunday.
We had a gorgeous autumn day walking along Lake Okanagan from the village of Naramata.

There were so few signs of the seasonal change that it really almost felt like summer!
Happy Friday.
I love all the bright autumn flowers that are available right now.

Such intensely vibrant and very decided colours.

The wonderful last beauty before we descend into the lustre of winter is captivating and precious.
Happy Thursday.
Penticton has a thriving farmers’ market that operates in the downtown every Saturday from mid-April until the end of October.

M and I try do our weekly fruit and vegetable shopping there.

We go early to avoid the crowds and we bring along our list and the shopping bags. Since all the produce is seasonal, we have to be ready to make adjustments.

Today we found beefsteak tomatoes, white peaches (on the lower left in the photo – the best peaches ever!), patty pan squash (in the bags), and honeycrisp apples. We also found mushrooms, basil, yellow beans, plums, and of course, sunflowers!
Autumn is the season of deliciousness!
I took this picture with my cell phone, so not the greatest camera for taking photos of the moon, but I like the effect of the aura.

Happy Sunday.
A trip to the Penticton market had a distinctly autumnal air despite the heat.

Fresh raspberries and blackberries – the last of them, we were repeatedly told – were bountifully available.

The flower stalls were bursting with vibrant autumn colours. At 30C (86F), it doesn’t feel much like September, but those invigorating cooler temperatures will arrive soon.
Happy Sunday.
