These white azaleas (also known as white rhododendrons) are almost finished blooming but are still active in micro-locations where it has perhaps been a little cooler or a little more shaded until recently.
I love how extravagantly rich and showy they are; they hold nothing back!

Lilacs usually bloom in late spring – June – but with the unusually high temperatures this year, some of them are out already.
These old-fashioned flowers have such a gorgeous scent and really are the progenitors of summer.
