… but there are many scenes of lush vibrancy to be experienced.

Happy Saturday and happy autumn from the Okanagan Valley.
It was a bit hazy (at least not from wildfire smoke!) but there was still a great view down through the southern Okanagan Valley to Lake Osoyoos and the U.S. border from a winery we like to visit.

Although somewhat overcast, the weather was nice, quite comfortable and the view fantastic.
Happy Friday; happy weekend.
I love how warm, calm and clear the weather can be during autumn.

A walk along the east side of Okanagan Lake was lovely. People were swimming and enjoying the perfect temperature.

We saw signs of seasonal closures – ice cream and snack stands; people winterising their boats – but there were lots of other examples of people enjoying the weather, too.
Wherever you are, I hope you are having good weather too.
Happy Wednesday.
I found this tree that’s well on its way to turning a full autumn red.

Happy Wednesday.
I love how these roses in Penticton’s public gardens are just blooming and blooming.

I hope you enjoy your Tuesday.
Some things I saw just this last weekend.

Happy Monday.
As my son used to say when he was a teenager, sometimes you just need to chillax (especially if it’s a beautiful September day). 🙂

Happy Sunday.
We had a gorgeous autumn day walking along Lake Okanagan from the village of Naramata.

There were so few signs of the seasonal change that it really almost felt like summer!
Happy Friday.
We took a walk through Penticton’s Japanese Garden.

The water level in the pond had dropped a lot; not surprising considering how dry August was.

We stopped to take a look at the many colourful koi. They expected us to feed them and swam eagerly to the pond’s edge.

Some of them are quite large!

This is a very tranquil garden on the edge of Lake Okanagan; such a beautiful spot.
Happy Thursday.
These ornamental grasses have turned a golden colour that is contrasting beautifully with the blue sky and green bushes.

We’re coming to that time of year when the contrasts will become more and more prevalent.
Happy Monday.
