They are finally out after late snow storms and floods!

Happy Wednesday.

Lovely tulip.
This is a Penticton, British Columbia photo from last summer. I’ll be heading back for some holidays in about six weeks, and I’m starting to miss it a lot.

Happy Sunday, happy home.

Happy Saturday.
Caribou are very shy and cautious of humans, so it’s unusual to see one, especially out in the open like this.

Happy Friday.
Remember the river photo I posted a while back?

Well, here it is now, about 10 km further north.

Last weekend’s storm (massive rain, massive snow, more massive rain, then a freeze) caused the ice pans to block the water flow from further up-river, resulting in a flood. Parts of the nearby town have been evacuated and other parts are completely under water.

Flooding is terrible.

I saw a group of bison today.

And a couple of young ones who were play-fighting.

And that white stuff on the ground? Yikes. Last week it was 15C (59F) and sunny, but over the weekend, it started to pour rain, which turned to snow, which turned to rain, and then dropped below freezing. Everything is covered in ice-coated snow that in some places is about a metre thick.
So much for spring, but it was fun to see the bison!
Some bright flowers for your Monday.

Happy week.
… but at least the ice is melting!

Happy Mother’s Day Sunday.
