I found these beautifully unusual hydrangeas, blue and cream.

And on the same plant, a much more uniform blue, but with hints of lighter blue on some of the petals.

Very bright and cheery and safely surviving the drought in someone’s private garden.

On the other hand, these were in a public garden and although still pretty, were struggling quite a bit more.

Sometimes, it’s all about conditions outside your control.

I ran into a friend who drives Bear Watching boats the other day. He was in a hurry as he had a boat load waiting for him so I couldn’t chat too much…

Stuart was visiting a village on a Greek Island when he took this photo of a carved nude female. Struck by its lack of identity, Stuart says that he “was drawn to it by the faceless nature of the woman; a metaphor for so many of the women in our world.”
