A recent hike on the KVR Trail above Okanagan Lake produced these autumnal sights.

This rain squall on the other side of the lake did reach us, but we were back in the car by then.

The sun peeks through cloud as the valley continues to don its autumn garb. In the meantime, the mountains across the lake choose a seasonal blue.

Some stormy weather has been passing through our area, but in between these events the temperatures and weather have been good, so good that there’s still lots of sailing happening.

The marina remains open year-round as many people still sail regardless of colder conditions, something I would probably also do if I owned a sailboat.

There’s usually something very attractive about sailboats on blue water, no matter the season.

We had a heavy rainfall overnight – something that’s welcomed since we still have drought conditions – and the next morning the weather had left a beautiful flat calm as well as clearing views of Skaha Lake.

I love the gentle ripples that entirely covered the lake’s surface.
