I found some tea roses still blooming in their cheery pink.

They won’t last much longer now, but it was lovely to see them still rosing along.

Having spent a week in Penticton, I am now back in the north. There aren’t any leftover roses here, as it’s too chilly in October!
It was really great to experience some gentler autumn weather for a little bit, though.
The wine grapes are heavy and lush and ready for harvest.

Grapes have been cultivated and sold for thousands of years, a trade that started in Israel, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran and Turkey. At present, about 75 percent of the grapes grown worldwide are used to make wine. We certainly like our grape juice!

This photo, taken on September 29 in the village of Naramata, doesn’t show many signs of autumn.

But it definitely is a fall picture as you can tell from the yellow leaves at the sides of the road.
Here’s to a very slow autumn – it’s good for us.
