The wine grapes are heavy and lush and ready for harvest.

Grapes have been cultivated and sold for thousands of years, a trade that started in Israel, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran and Turkey. At present, about 75 percent of the grapes grown worldwide are used to make wine. We certainly like our grape juice!
Happy Saturday. 🙂
I never liked grape juice as a kid, but really developed a taste for it, as an adult. Ha Ha. Enjoy the weekend Lynette. Allan
Haha. 🙂 Yes, me too. Wine country is a good place for me. Cheers, Allan.
Didn’t know that. And grapes are so tasty as fruit (not so much to me as wine).
Many of the wine grape varieties are surprisingly quite sweet. The birds love them, so many of the growers cover their vines with netting at this time of year.
Now I’d like some grapes to nibble!
There are trails here that pass through grape fields. You can see where passersby have done some through-the-fence sampling!
And at night, the bears like to wander through there too. They came through some vineyards in Naramata way-back-when and carefully licked the grapes off the clusters a few at a time. They probably had trouble finding their way home when all those grapes fermented in their tummies.
Yes, I’ve heard about this! Drunken bears – at least they likely just find a place to sleep it off!
LOL.
Wow – I would not have guessed 75%! That’s a good fun fact 🙂
We humans do seem to enjoy our adult grape juice!
I typically don’t enjoy grape flavoured things, except for wine.
Hahaha. 🙂 I don’t either. I came to appreciate grape flavours as I got older!
