It’s beginning to be a little springy …

… with green fronds pushing through the dry leaves from last year …

… and the cherry tree buds making themselves known …

… including a close-up …

… while the sun begins to warm the earth.
Happy Friday 13th. 🍀

We were lucky enough to have a rare sunny day …

… and I made sure that I got out there to enjoy it.

The ducks definitely did.

It was lovely to sit and watch the sun go down through last year’s dried hydrangeas, knowing that they will soon be replaced by spring growth.
Happy Monday.
… arrived!

It’s still very soggy – you can’t have all that rain and then dry out quickly – but it was so nice to see a little sun.

We’re supposed to get some more tomorrow – wow! – sun two days in a row!

I plan to enjoy it as much as I can, especially that I’m beginning to feel better, too.
Happy Thursday.
We have had a lot of rain and windy conditions over the last few days …

… but there have been beautifully sunny, calm periods, too …

… with ducks and flowers, too.

Happy Wednesday.
I love how beautiful early spring can be …

… with its soft breezes …

… and warm sun that allows you to unzip your jacket and bask in the mellow comfort …

… before the harshness of high temperatures send us shade-scurrying to avoid the burning golden summer eye.
Despite our up and down weather, things are beginning to take on more of a springish look.

The sun is taking a more prominent place …

… and the carp seem to be past their winter torpor.

Good signs!
There’s still a little snow on the mountaintops …

… and the sun definitely has that spring angle.

Happy Wednesday.
We continue to have sunny periods followed by overcast with a bit of drizzle …

… but that’s okay. Our weather is still very much in the process of becoming nicer.

Happy Tuesday.
A beautifully sunny temperature of 12C (54F) …

… with windless, soft air …

… felt like nirvana after the blowing cold of winter.
Happy Tuesday.
Although there aren’t any leaves yet, the sun’s angle over the carp pond in the Japanese Garden tells me that it’s spring.

The ducks were snoozing in the sun along the water’s edge, so I sat on a bench and enjoyed a little sun myself.
Happy Monday.
