Coat Tree

This coat-wearing tree in a Penticton park has survived the winter very well and has acquired some extra style.

March 7, 2022

It looks different from October when everything was much leafier, but it’s still as colourful and inviting as last autumn.

There have been some creative additions, including some hanging pom poms and a branch that is sporting new fashions. I’m not sure who is “clothing” this tree, but there are some very fine examples of crochet, beadwork, and knitting.

Very bright and whimsical!

Spring Icicles?

Yes, spring icicles are springing up, or rather, down, everywhere.

Smallish icicles hanging from the house eave.

We’re supposed to have warmish weather over the next couple of days, so these icies will grow a lot. For safety, I’ve knocked down the ones over the door and will probably have to keep doing so for a while. There’s a lot of snow on that roof!

Happy Tuesday.
