With the arrival of early spring, we have had lovely calm, warm days …

… even though the air still retains a mild crispness

… that tends to reassert itself once the sun begins to go down.

Happy Saturday.

A recent walk made me feel like spring was patiently waiting to make the leap from its winter confines.

Warm, wind still and clear, a quiet lingering expectancy of growth has firmly appeared.

A swimming and diving platform is in readiness, anticipating the excitement of sunny aquatic enjoyment.

Such wonderful things to look forward to!

‘Tolaga Bay Wharf IV’ …walk out over the shining sea…
Tolaga Bay Wharf IV
This is such a gorgeous photo of New Zealand’s summer from Andy at Ebb Then Flood.
All was quiet at the duck creek – a few sleepy murmurings …

… dreams of quinoa and other grains, juicy bugs and warmer weather …

… but spring is coming and they will be busy with little ones …

… dream now while you have time.
Happy Wednesday.
It’s time for a burst of colour! These photos are either from spring or summer 2023 or 2022. I hope you enjoy them and that they bring a bit of relief from the late winter blahs if you still have those hanging around.

I won’t be taking comments over the next few days as we have company coming; I look forward to comment-chatting later in the week.
Happy Tuesday.
A sunset flight over Okanagan Lake …

… appeals to our avian desires …

… and to the romantic in all of us …

… a tranquil end to the day that turns on tomorrow’s promises.
Happy Monday.

A starkly beautiful photo of Flamborough Head, East Yorkshire, UK, courtesy of Stuart Aken. Stuart has many beautiful pictures on his site.
We’ve had a lot of wind lately and our weather has also been unpredictable and variable, but something in the air is beginning to say spring.

There’s a sort of relaxation, a giving away of the winter grip.

Life is ready to burst forth!
Happy Sunday.
It’s starting to feel like spring .,,

… not visible yet, but it’s in the air.

Happy weekend.
Although on a recent walk it was still only 5C (41F) out, it was beautifully sunny and the cold wind we have been experiencing rather consistently had stopped.

Okanagan Lake was flat, calm and lovely.

The koi in the fish pond are awake and moving, if a little sluggish.

It definitely feels like spring, even if it’s still a bit coolish.

Happy International Women’s Day.
