… the bees buzzing among them were in heaven …

… another example of spring’s gorgeous gifts to us.
Happy Saturday.

Joy abounds from the beautiful spring bloomings …

… but even after they have fallen …

… they lend allure to a concrete sidewalk.
Happy Thursday.
British Columbia’s provincial flower is the Pacific dogwood.

The name comes from the fact that sailors used the wood of this tree to make nails, otherwise known as dags – or later, dogs – in ship repairs.

It has been British Columbia’s provincial flower since 1956.

So elegant and sparkling in either white or the dogwood’s alternative colour, pink, it’s another marvellous addition to the spring pantheon of beauty.

Happy Tuesday.
I love this “spring tree” I found inside an office building in London, Ontario that is undergoing conversion to mixed use. Comprised of artificial flowers, it nevertheless looked pretty and fresh.

It was lovely to see, especially as the weather outside was rainy, windy and overcast.

Happy Sunday.

… so much different from winter white …

… a snowflake flower.
Happy Friday.
Tree blossoms are one of spring’s priceless gifts.

Although I could hear bees near this plum tree I didn’t spot any, but I could understand why they were visiting. The scent of the blossoms was heady, intoxicating, and very honey-like.

Happy flower Friday.

We’ve been getting many short, gentle showers recently. They come and go quickly, the sun comes out and the flowers are loving it!

Our April showers are doing well with producing May flowers, especially as they are definitely ahead of time!
Happy Monday.
Recent spring lovelies …

… have brought a smile to my face …

… a lightness to my spirit …

… and an energy to my step.

It’s amazing what a bit of sun …

… and a few flowers can do. Strictly speaking, we don’t need them to survive, but my, don’t they lift us? 🌸
