I am heading to the subarctic today; to the land of 60° north latitude (and more). I will miss this beautifully slow southern autumn in the Okanagan but I will also carry that beauty with me.

Happy Friday.

Early fall scenery
A gorgeous autumn reflection from Vova Zinger. I hope you stop by his blog to take a look at his many great photos.
Since moving from one end of Penticton to the other, I haven’t posted many recent photos of Skaha Lake.

I took this picture of the east side of the lake soon after a rain shower passed through. I like the interplay of cloud and light and the contrast of the bright autumn-clad trees.
Happy Thursday.

Happy Tuesday.

Penticton at night.
Happy Thursday.
Some recent sights from my walks.

Happy Thursday.
… with a stop to admire the view.

Happy Thursday.
Evening settles over Lake Okanagan.

I sat and watched the lake become slowly enveloped in a gentle darkness.
I love how warm, calm and clear the weather can be during autumn.

A walk along the east side of Okanagan Lake was lovely. People were swimming and enjoying the perfect temperature.

We saw signs of seasonal closures – ice cream and snack stands; people winterising their boats – but there were lots of other examples of people enjoying the weather, too.
Wherever you are, I hope you are having good weather too.
Happy Wednesday.
Some things I saw just this last weekend.

Happy Monday.
