Penticton’s lovely little Japanese garden isn’t showing yet many signs of autumn, but there’s something about the fading of the colours that are signalling it.
The trees on the adjacent path also seem to be indicating the same.
But right now, the weather is wonderful and there’s no forest fire smoke, so I plan to enjoy it as much as possible.

This was a beautiful day unaffected at that time by a large fire to the south of us in Washington.
The blaze crossed the border and has caused some local smoke; we understand that headway has been made by the hardworking firefighting crews, however.
Happy Wednesday.
The wine grapes are becoming plumper and plumper as they bask in the warmth and enjoy the occasional showers.
A nearby vineyard.
This healthy-looking bunch is tucked safely among its protective leaves at the vineyard shown above.
Happy Tuesday.
I particularly like these multihued roses that I recently saw.
The same plant was producing flowers with colours ranging from tangerine to pink to yellow, with most blooms displaying at least two.
Aren’t they pretty?
Happy Sunday.
