Some mini-daffodils and other pretties …

… in our 22°C spring sun …

… like us humans, contentedly soaking it all up.
Happy Wednesday.

In the last couple of days I saw the first daffodils and was strongly reminded of this stanza from the lovely poem “Daffodils” (also known as “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud”) from William Wordsworth:
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Here’s a Wikipedia post about the poem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Wandered_Lonely_as_a_Cloud

Happy April 1 (no foolin’). 😊

It hardly seems possible that two weeks have flown by since the warm spell of weather that we had in early April and my trip to the Morton Arboretum …
Morton Daffodils
Frilly bits of sunshine in flower form from The Nature of Things. She has many beautiful photos on her site.
In Penticton, spring is a-flutter and a-bloom. The ducks are happily pairing off, the Canada geese couples are arriving and the spring bulbs are blooming.

Daffodils, otherwise known as narcissi, are such an enticing spring yellow.

A goose couple eyes us suspiciously from the water. They can be very aggressive and loud, but if one is cautious and slow, they won’t shout at you too badly.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to enjoy more of Penticton’s spring until I return five weeks from now.
Happy Friday.
They are finally out after late snow storms and floods!

Happy Wednesday.

I hope you’re able to enjoy a chocolate egg. Cheers!
Daffodils make me happy …

… so vivid and cheery in their yellow brightness.
Happy weekend. 🙂
