Azealas and Pears

Some additional beautiful bloomers have arrived!

The pears are starting …

… and the azealas, too.

Seven days ago I posted an azeala bud picture and now they’re launching their glorious spring show. It’s so great to see!

I’ve also seen a few cherry trees also getting their start and so I’m soon heading off to the orchards for more blossom pictures. It’s that time of year and not to be missed!

Happy Tuesday.

  1. A lovely sight Lynette. How does it look this year for spring green up in your area. Has there been enough rain. I hear a hot, dry summer is being predicted in the West. Happy Tuesday. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. We had lots of rain up until about mid-February but apparently a lot of it ran off as the water table is apparently low. We had a very slow rain all day and night last Thursday so that should help – and everything is now suddenly turning very green – but we’re going to need more.

I read a report from Environment and Climate Change Canada that says the entire country is going to have an extremely hot summer after a very “unsettled” spring. Not sure what that means – rain, wind, cloud, cooler than normal, up and down with all these characteristics?

      1. Over here, it means snow every few days. Yesterday, I shoveled up about 3 cm and there is another flurry tomorrow evening/Thursday. It all melts quickly, but…keeps recycling. Hope the ground thaws in time for some to soak in

  2. Lovely pictures. They give me hope that our trees will blossom before long. Where I live, the buds on the trees are still fairly tight and it will be several weeks before they open.
