It is a wonderful beach, Allan. Skaha is a shallower lake and tends to warm up for great swimming in summer and autumn and is also very popular for airborne wind surfing in late September when higher winds funnel directly out of the south. Boating has started up and people are picnicking on the beaches too but not much swimming yet. Cheers.
We have had a very lovely couple of days but are supposed to be getting a lot of rain for most of the week starting tomorrow. I hope you get some warmer weather soon. đ
The sunny sands look inviting Lynette. Happy Sunday. Allan

Happy Sunday! We’ve been getting out to see the beach as much as possible. Really lifts the spirits.

Thank you very much. đ Some sun and beach sure do, especially after buckets of rain and overcast!

Looks lovely. Does the water warm up during the summer?

Unlike the much larger Okanagan Lake at the other end of town, Skaha is quite shallow and becomes bathtub warm by July. Itâs great for swimming!
