… with short sunny blips.

Still, this is in keeping with March’s weather unpredictability and it also won’t hurt to have a good water table when the 38C (100F) temperatures hit!
Happy Tuesday.

I like your term, “sun blips”. We had some yesterday; spring has sprung!

You captured a lovely scene 😊. Good to see the rain too, I imagine!

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 We’ve had lots of rain but given how hot it can get, more won’t hurt. 😊

Nice spring weather here too. We headed out to the forest yesterday, as it was going to be a warm suuny day. On the way out we ran through a large area of showers which mostly stopped by the time we got to Elk Island. Then the day cleared and at the end we had sunny blue skies.. I’m with you Lynette. We will take all the rain showers we can get to build the water table back up. Happy Tuesday. Allan

Glad to hear that you’re getting rain, not snow, and there’s some sun, too. Getting the water table up there isn’t a bad thing at all. We both know how bad the fires can be and when the hot weather hits in June it gets so, so dry. Enjoy your spring weather. We are overcast and misty again today with sun blips but +14 which feels pretty nice. Cheers.

That splotch of sun across the water is gorgeous.

The sunny blips are very welcome through the rain. Yes, yay spring! 🌸

The ground is soggy with all the rain we’ve had. No change in sight, but history has shown that as soon as our monsoon stops, the drought sets in. I think I’d rather have the rain.

Yes, that does seem to be the way, here as well. We might get a bit of rain throughout the summer but not much. As soon as the temperatures rise in late May/early June, it gets so dry. Fingers crossed no fires.

Like you, I look at the rain and think about the water table, and rejoice — (so do my ferns)

Agreed. It can get so hot so quickly, and we seem to go overnight into dry conditions, so more rain definitely isn’t going to hurt!

But at least you’re still seeing some sunshine! We’re currently in Vancouver where it’s very rainy.

Yes, Vancouver is getting soaked and we aren’t getting anything like that amount of rain. You must be about ready to leave for NZ? How exciting!
