We’ve been getting many short, gentle showers recently. They come and go quickly, the sun comes out and the flowers are loving it!

Our April showers are doing well with producing May flowers, especially as they are definitely ahead of time!
Happy Monday.
🙂 Those are a beautiful collection of flowers, Lynette.

A lovely display. Colours vibrant looking, which I notice plants seem to do that after showers.

Thank you very much, Liz. I think so, too. I’ve enjoyed watching their arrival over the past month or so. After living in the Arctic for six years, experiencing spring again has been wonderful!

So beautiful Lynette. Not even dandelions in the dust here yet. Still awaiting some preceip, any precip, but the forecast keeps kicking it down the road and April is almost done. Happy Monday. Allan

Thank you, Allan.
So sorry to hear that. We are beginning a road trip to Ontario starting on Saturday and will be stopping in Medicine Hat to visit friends. They have apparently been getting rain recently and things are slowly starting to grow, but they have been really dry, too. Fingers crossed for you.

Safe travels to you both. We actually got an hour of light rain this morning that settled the dust. The smell of wet earth was terrific. They are saying we will get another 5 mm over the next two days. Fingers and toes crossed. On the other hand, Calgary and South are supposed to get up to 20 cm snow.

Thank you, Allan, much appreciated.
Great to hear that you got some rain, at least. I hope it continues. Some is better than none.
Snow? 20 cm? Well, I guess I’m not too surprised. Southern Alberta has been known to get spring snowstorms. I certainly experienced some of them!

The overnight rain/snow has come to pass. Very wet this morning, rather than white. Hopefully the start of a good cycle. Cheers.

The light rain really suits these spring beauties. Such fine detail in the tulip 😊

Thank you very much, Belinda. It was surrounded by leaf detritus from last autumn and was all on its own, blooming beautifully. Agreed, light rain works well for them.

It certainly looks like your flowers are doing well. We’ve been getting a lot of rain too so everything is looking so lush. Hope you aren’t being impacted by the smoke from the wildfires.

We’re in Ontario at the moment but I understand that the Okanagan hasn’t been affected at all. Yes, it’s very lush in Ontario right now; gorgeous! I really hope that the northern portions of BC and Alberta soon get some desperately needed rain!

That’s right! How was your visit to Point Pelee? How much longer are you here for?

We actually had to do some adjusting because of a couple of family commitments and weren’t able to, unfortunately. We visited Long Point, though.
We are in Toronto for the next several days and leave on Sunday for Tobermorey. We’ll take our time driving back towards the west. Cheers.

That’s too bad. Long Point is pretty nice though and is also reputed to be a good spot for bird watching. Enjoy the rest of your time in Ontario!
By the way, we’re back from holidays now. It might be out of the way, but if you have time, we’d be happy to have you over for a visit. We live in Georgetown.

Oh Linda! We have just missed you, then. We are now in Markham with friends for the long weekend and then on to Tobermorey. Thank you very much for the invitation, though. So kind and lovely of you. 😊
Yes, Long Point is fantastic for bird watching; the oldest bird observatory in North America is there.

It’s too bad about the timing, but I’m sure our paths will eventually cross! Next time. Enjoy your long weekend with your friends. Hopefully the bugs won’t be too bad in Tobermory!
