With Thanksgiving coming up, you could have really fresh cranberry sauce if you lived here. There are lots of them!

But … they are just millimetres above the ground, so picking them is not easy, especially if your back is touchy.

I tasted one, and they are very tart, the way they should taste, and also very crisp, and just … very intensely cranberry.
I think I’ll leave these for the bears and bison, though.

This photo reminded me of Robert Frost’s most famous poem:
The Road not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves, no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
