Flowers on a Saturday

Usually I post flowers on Fridays, but I’m a bit out of practise after the winter. So here are my recent findings, even if it is a Saturday.  Cheers.

A lovely mix of springy goodness in a flower bed …

… and a group of narcissci that were growing wild next to a trail among some grape vines.

Happy weekend.

        1. You’re welcome! I just saw that there’s a big one in Toronto and another one called No Tyrants outside the American embassy in Ottawa (that so-called ambassador – Pete Hoekstra – that Trump sent here is just as unhinged as Trump himself. The attempted interference in our politics and things he says about Canada and Canadians are absolutely awful. Our PM has been encouraged to send him home but we all know how vengeful Trump would be about that …). Cheers.

  1. When I spent a lot of time in Maryland (before my sister and brother-in-law retired to Vermont) I could regularly see naturalized little narcissus growing by late February down there. It was so cheering after being buried in Vermont snow! Love to cheer you are sending. (Not relevant to your post, but I, too, attended a No Kings rally here in Vermont today. Lots of humorous signs, live music, free cookies, etc.)

    1. I don’t think I’ve seen them growing in the wild like that before so they were such a lovely surprise. Yes, it’s so nice to see them after winter lets go.

You’re welcome. The more opposition to DT the better! There were several big ones here too. A No Kings for dual Canadians/Americans, other ex-pats and U.S. visitors and a No Tyrants rally for Canadians and others who have constitutional monarchies. It seems they were quite successful. Have a good weekend.
