The buds getting ready to burst …

the creek level rising with early snow melt from the lower altitudes …

the sun showing a little power as it shines through still-empty branches …

that will soon be laden with leaves.

Happy March.

Let’s hope it brings some spring here too! Nice shots. 🌸

I look at my bunch of daffodils every morning, hoping to see signs of buds opening. At least there are buds on there now. Soon, soon, soon.

We’re supposed to have a high of 12 today and so far, it definitely looks and feels as if we’ll reach it. The birds are chirping, tweeting and building nests. Agreed – not quite yet but we can see it from here!

I always love that point in late February/early March when the sunshine transforms into warmth. You know you are getting closer to spring. Happy Monday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. I do, too. It’s always a definable but subtle moment. Yesterday we had 12, not a cloud in the sky and took a wonderful walk next to the creek. This morning I’m listening to a cacophony of tweeting, twittering birds who are flitting around and starting on their nests. Wonderful.

My toque was sitting in the sun on the bench and when I picked it up to wear it man it was warm. So despite the snow covered ground I do know spring is coming. And dusk hung on for a long time last night. Bernie

We had 12 yesterday with some definite sun-power happening. Spring skiing is coming soon! (You’ll probably be missing that and enjoying spring in The Netherlands, though. 😊) And yes, the days are getting longer – so great. 😊

Winter kind of sucks. Spring, though, definitely doesn’t.

I definitely agree. Even when spring weather isn’t that great it’s better than winter!

Love the transformation into spring. Seems like it just happens overnight sometimes. We still have quite a bit of snow, but it’s supposed to go up to 17C tomorrow, which seems hard to believe.

It’s so wonderful! Agreed; sometimes it does seem to happen overnight. Ontario deserves some relief from all the snow for sure. I hope you’re able to get outside and enjoy the good weather but it sounds like you might need some boots against all the snow melt!
