Yesterday we had a very spring-like day.

Windless, 10C (50F), and sun that had a little oomph going on.

It was lovely to sit in the gentle warmth and just enjoy.
My apologies to all the people throughout North America who are presently buried in snow or dealing with slush and cold rain and wind, but once spring starts, it does have a way of rolling forward, even if there’s a bit of to-ing and to-ing. It’s coming.
I love spring, the sight and the feel of it.

I do as well. The very first signs of it – when the air suddenly turns soft – are magical.

I wish it felt like spring here. Low at 23° and a high today of maybe 45° with a wind chill making it feel like 21° at time of being at bus stop for my grandson to go to school.

I don’t know Fahrenheit temperatures but any time someone talks about wind chill it isn’t good. Standing and waiting in a cold wind is unpleasant, too. Lovely to walk your grandson to the bus stop, though. Thanks for commenting.

(23°F − 32) × 5/9 = -5°C) what it was in Celsius

I really love the early days of spring when it gets warm out of the blue, and you just have to sit with this feeling of warmth that was thought long forgotten. As always, great pics! ‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.

Thank you very much, Edith. 😊 Those first few days when the air turns soft and there’s a such a gentle warmth from the sun are wonderful. We actually sat in the sun yesterday for a short time. So great.

Lovely! I feel bad for the folks back east, what a complete mess they are stuck in.

Thanks, John. 😊 The central and eastern parts of North America have had a very bad winter that has affected regions quite far into the south, too. I’m so glad I haven’t had to slog through all that snow, ice, slush and wind.

Me too, Lynette. I reeeeally don’t miss that crappy weather. The city of new York has become a joke with that new “mayor”. It’s sunny and 65 here just now…

We worked in Northwest Territories (it’s top-of-the-world, very, very north) for six winters where spring might not arrive until mid-June (in some regions it doesn’t really arrive at all). It was beautiful but we decided to avoid that kind of major winter going forward into retirement!

Wow man, that’s too cold even for an old Michigander! I’m glad you guys are where you want to be, Lynette. 🙏🏻☺️

Our winters aren’t as warm as yours but they are very mild and we love it here in wine country. 🍷 😊 Cheers.

It does do that back and forth a bit before solidly arriving but that first real springish day is so lovely. Cheers.

Great news indeed Lynette. Yesterday, we travelled from snowy -13 to sunny +8 in Vancouver. A nice change for sure. Happy Tuesday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. I wondered a bit when you would be heading to Vancouver. This is a good time of year to go for sure. It was so great to see the projection for 8 and then see it climb to 10. We actually sat outside in the sun for a bit. So nice. Enjoy your visit.

Thank you, Tricia. 😊 We definitely are. We sat outside in the sun yesterday for about 15 minutes. It was so great.

Not at all. We’re definitely going to get some back and forth but I think we turned the corner. We were able to sit outside in the sun yesterday. It was so great.

It’s amazing what a little bit of sunshine will do to perk us up.

It sure is, Anneli! We have another very spring-like day today too but are expecting a lot of rain later in the week. Cheers.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! All the weeping willows are turning yellow which means we’re very close to having green leaves! Cheers.

Strangely enough yesterday was the coldest day we’ve had up here just above you — it was that stinking wind. That second photo is a great moody shot with the dark trees and the sun backlighting them. Bernie

Thank you very much for your comments, Bernie. The temperature differentials as you climb into the mountains can be so large. Sorry to hear about the wind; we haven’t had any down here for the last couple of days – so nice! We’re supposed to get wind and rain tomorrow though.

It was so nice to feel that turn in the weather and although we’re overcast and rainy today the temperature is still good. Yes, the longer days are so great.
