Although many of us in western North America are enjoying some nice February weather, most people are still freezing and fighting off snow, wind and ice. So here’s another “think spring” post to hopefully brighten your day.

I believe the groundhogs were mostly saying that the central and eastern parts of the continent are supposed to have an early spring and I would definitely say that you’ve earned it! So herewith are some memories of June, 2025. Last time, I posted pictures from April and May.

Tea roses …

… a very fresh daisy …

… lovely pinkish-red hydrangeas …

… and white ones, too …

… with pretty pastel poppies.
Happy Friday.
A nice, colorful bouquet to start this Friday with. Have a nice weekend as well. 🙂

Thaqnks, Lynette. I keep looking out my window for the first daffodils but nothing yet. Won’t be long now. God bless Canada.

Thank you very much, Kenny. 😊 Yes, I bet your bulbs and spring blooms will be starting soon. Vancouver has daffodils and cherry blossoms and ours are getting ready to burst, too. So great!

A good opening for the spring beauty yet to come Lynette. +10 here on Wednesday, +11 yesterday and +7 for the next two days has taken a lot of our snow. Today the only colour we will see is Caterpillar yellow as the graders take the rest. Happy Friday. Allan

Thank you, Allan. So great that you’re getting a break from the frigid temperatures and relief from the snow. The places to be right now apparently are Victoria or Vancouver. A friend who moved to Vancouver from Yukon in October just sent me pictures of the daffodils and cherry blossoms! Sigh. I’m looking forward to seeing real flowers as opposed to pictures!

I’ve missed the flowers this winter. It will be so nice to see them come back.

Oh yes, Anneli. I’m keeping a close eye on the cherry trees. The buds look like they’re getting ready to open!

Lovely spring photos, Lynette! The eastern third of the US is experiencing very deep cold again, I’m happy to be in Nevada!

A beautiful collection, Lynette, to remind us that spring is near. We saw some sweet, little pansies on our walk yesterday; there’s hope!
