It doesn’t take much for me to start thinking about spring; a couple of days of windy and rainy overcast will do it! So instead of pining, I decided it would be a good idea to post a bit of spring.
March

Buttercups …

… tulips …

… daffodils.
April

Okanagan sunflowers …

… narcissus …

… plum …

… dogwood …

… magnolias …

… rhododendrons.
And that’s just March and April! Next week I’ll post some flower power pictures from May and June. Just looking through my spring photos puts a smile on my face; if you’re experiencing the seasonal blues I hope these help a bit. 🌸
Happy Tuesday.
Lovely spring flowers Lynette. However, when you think of spring coming soon, that reminds me that winter will be coming to Sydney haha.

It’s such a beautiful time of year. Awww, sorry about that, Wayne. But I think your winter is milder than ours. 😉

Thanks, Jo. It was so dreary and drizzly here today that flowers seemed like the right thing!

Thank you very much, Mags. 😊 Today we had a very gloomy overcast with drizzle, so flowers felt right. 🌸 Cheers.

Thanks Lynette, these are beautiful. There’s an embankment outside my bedroom window where the first daffodils come up. I’m expecting them in about four weeks. Maybe we’ll get a little late snow to go with them, it’s pretty.

Glad you enjoyed them, Kenny. It’s nice to have a bevy of daffodils outside your window like that! Yes, snow on them is pretty but I would rather not get any. 😉

Lovely photos, Lynette. But those plum flowers I have not seen before. They are so pretty.

Thank you very much, Liz. Those are flowering ornamental plums. The spring blooms are gorgeous and last quite well but do not produce any fruit.

Thanks, Allan. We’ve been getting a thick overcast almost down to the ground so a few bright pictures was the right thing!

Nothing like a good blast of bright spring colours on a white and grey day.

I definitely agree, Jenn. The overcast we’ve been getting has been so very thick and it’s been so gloomy, too.

My wife and I are in Baltimore to visit our soon 4 months old grandchild (the rest of the family are watching our house and dog). It is a bit cold here. However, just in time for our return to Texas there is allegedly a major winter storm passing through north Texas. So for us spring is not here yet. The flower photos are beautiful.

Thank you very much, Thomas. It seems that most of N. America is getting poor weather. We had some very heavy overcast and drizzle so spring flowers really seemed like the right thing. Enjoy your family visit and new grandchild. Cheers.

Thanks so much, Linda. Ontario seems to be really getting lots of nasty weather this winter. You’ll be definitely ready for spring, I’m thinking. Ours hasn’t been cold really, but damp and windy.
