Rainy Views

We’re still getting lots rain although I understand that we’re supposed to get a bit of a temperature drop accompanied by some rain that will turn to snow. We’ll see. We get that projection a lot in winter but it regularly turns out to be wrong.

Here are some cloudy views from a recent walk.

The rain stopped for a bit and I grabbed the opportunity …

… to stay a bit dry while getting some exercise. A bonus was the slight glow from the setting sun …

… while another bonus were these seasonal lights decorating a patio near one of our favourite restaurants.

Happy Saturday.

  1. Its the time of year you have to pick your walk windows, for sure Lynette. We got out for a couple of walks here yesterday between and during snow storms. Another 8 cm of snow yesterday and blizzard winds. So glad I am not travelling at Christmas. Happy Saturday. Allan

    1. Oh yes, Allan, we’re very happy not to be travelling as well. One of our sons had to do some travelling in southern Ontario since Tuesday and it was brutal, apparently. Agreed that you have to pick your time. Another 8 cm? You must have quite a lot now. This morning we have bright sun and blue sky but as is so typical here, that means the temperature is down. Our first real cold day at -3 but so nice to have some bright light.

    1. Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 I like that photo as well. We sure had some interesting clouds at the time. That restaurant has an incredible view down the lake and really great food, too! Cheers.

  2. Funny how the weather forecast is typically wrong about the snow. But I guess it’s better to prepare for the worst. We’re supposed to get a heavy rainfall this afternoon and overnight, which is too bad as it means all our snow will likely disappear. And that the roads will likely be very slippery.

    1. A rainfall overnight probably means that yes, later on it will freeze, too, and driving will be terrible. Ugh. It would actually be much better if you had snow instead. I agree that it’s better to be ready for it but despite all the predictions we didn’t get any snow at all and we are supposed to warm up later this week. Cheers.
