We really have been getting a great combination of heat and rain which is giving us such fantastic growth. Those pink rhododendrons are so pretty. π
Thank you very much, Allan. We have been getting a mix of sun and rain thatβs providing particularly good growing conditions. So great after three years of drought and fires. Cheers.
Thank you very much, Ally. Iβm not a big fan of pink but agreed, this shade is very pretty. And I have a soft spot for rhododendrons and azaleas so I have to stop and admire them as much as I can while theyβre blooming. Cheers.
The Okanagan Valley is a bit of a hard act to follow. Itβs a very popular domestic and international year-round tourist spot with the good weather, beaches, boating, mountain climbing, hiking, wineries and in the winter, skiing. In fact, it has tons of outdoor pursuits. Itβs also just very pretty, too. The tourists can be a bit much at times but they inject a lot of money into the economy. Youβre probably pretty familiar with that!
I see, thanks Lynette. The last few weeks, the number of people visiting Las Vegas has fell off a bit, I blame the ridiculous tariff from Trump. Fewer Canadians are here now which I don’t blame them. I’m almost sorry that I voted for the guy. π¨π¦β€οΈ
Thanks, John. Lots of Canadians arenβt travelling to the U.S. because of the tariffs but itβs also because of Trumpβs continuing assertions that Canada should be the 51st state. Both issues together are really infuriating people. One of our airlines just removed nine U.S. bound routes and is replacing them with domestic and European destinations. This is all very sad. I wish it wasnβt so.
Me too, Lynette. The very idea of thinking that Canada should be the 51st state is incredibly vile and disgusting! Canada is a sovereign country. I’m sure I am not the only voter down here with voter regret… π‘
We have been getting a great mix of sun and rain which is making everything very lush healthy and of course has also lead us out of the previous three yearsβ drought. We donβt get much snow here in the valley bottom but apparently the skiing at the nearby resorts was particularly good this season. Definitely – after six years in NWT I like to push any snow to the edges of my memory!
Everything looks so lush! I particularly like your photo of the pink rhododendrons π

The color of pink on the rhododendron is beautiful, soothing but not bland. Happy Thursday right back at ‘ya!

I love spring, and especially this year as our three-year drought appears to be over.
