Autumn Tranquility

This creek is very near my home and I cross it frequently.

I find its cool, silvery sound very relaxing at any time of year, but right now that sense is amplified because the bordering trees are yellowing.

    1. It did once about 50 years ago, but the city has since implemented flood prevention including building up the banks again (they had been shaved down earlier in the century) and returning the large creek boulders that had also been removed some time earlier. It’s definitely a very pretty creek. Thanks for commenting.

    1. Thank you, Allan. It’s a very pretty addition to the landscape. There is a small condo building – just six units – right next to the creek and I’ve often thought that being able to listen to the babbling water at night must be pretty nice. Cheers.

    1. We have lots of colour and up til today the weather has been great for enjoying it, but now we’re experiencing a storm from the Pacific. Very windy, grey and overcast – the cloud is right down in the valley – so our colours probably won’t last long, either.
