It may be autumn, but many flowers don’t know that, especially, it seems, the roses. Here’s a sample.

Well, maybe some roses know about it!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

Something’s a bit crazy here though. I still have a few roses in bloom but also the first shoots of next year’s daffodils already pushing through. In October!!

Oh boy, that’s not good. They think they’ve been through winter and now it’s spring again. You must be getting some very confusing weather!

Amazing hat the roses are still so beautiful Lynette. We spotted some rose bushes still blooming here the other day. Unheard of. Happy Friday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Definitely unheard of for your area, that’s for sure. I spoke to a friend in Yellowknife recently who says that they are still getting daytime highs of 10, 11, 12. Their temperatures should be more like 2 or 3. Crazy.

The colours are fantastic but that subtle yellow bud is my favourite 😊. Happy Thanksgiving, Lynette !

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 Isn’t that bud beautiful? The pink ones kind of look like Pepto Bismol but that yellow one is a stunner. Cheers.

Gorgeous. Roses seem to be the most resilient of the flowers. My rose bush is flourishing and usually does right until we get a really hard freeze.

Yes, they certainly do, don’t they? So lovely to have them blooming away for as long as possible. The public rose garden here is showing the signs of autumn but the roses themselves are, as you say, still flourishing. Great word choice. 😊

Ignorance is bliss! And those roses are gorgeous!

It sure is. The trees in the garden are fading and the leaves on the rose bushes, too, but the roses themselves are still amazing!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I like Canada’s timing of the holiday better than ours.

Thank you very much, Ally. 🍂 I used to live in Arizona and found the later date to be so close to Christmas that they sort of melded. I like the earlier timing as well. Cheers.
