October 11’s Friday Fleurday

It may be autumn, but many flowers don’t know that, especially, it seems, the roses. Here’s a sample.

Pink roses in the public rose garden are still thriving.
Lovely yellow rosebud.
Orange beauty with a yellow heart.

Well, maybe some roses know about it!

Rosehips.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

    1. Thanks, Allan. Definitely unheard of for your area, that’s for sure. I spoke to a friend in Yellowknife recently who says that they are still getting daytime highs of 10, 11, 12. Their temperatures should be more like 2 or 3. Crazy.

  1. Gorgeous. Roses seem to be the most resilient of the flowers. My rose bush is flourishing and usually does right until we get a really hard freeze.

    1. Yes, they certainly do, don’t they? So lovely to have them blooming away for as long as possible. The public rose garden here is showing the signs of autumn but the roses themselves are, as you say, still flourishing. Great word choice. 😊
