It does not seem to matter where we walk in Vancouver these past few days. It will be kind of drab when we head home tomorrow. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan
Thanks, Allan. There are lots of blooms right now – it’s so pretty. And yes, it will likely be slower in the Beaumont area and if I recall correctly from southern Alberta (I experienced snow in both late May and late August while living in Medicine Hat) the weather might still be a bit unpredictable. But then again, it seems that we’re becoming unpredictable almost everywhere.
I used to own a house where they bordered the entire yard – the previous owner had planted them about 20 years earlier and they were well established – and when they bloomed it was just so wonderful to walk out the back door! The scent was gorgeous. It’s great that you still have yours to look forward to. Cheers.

Wow! I feel like taking this photo outside and showing it to our bush, as incentive to bloom better, bloom bigger.

Hahaha. 😊 Feel free to use this picture as flower power incentive.😉
Lilacs are so pretty and the scent is lovely. My mother used to call them “old-fashioned” flowers, which when I think of it, adds to their charm.

Love the colour and the scent of lilacs. Very pretty. We still have a few weeks to go before ours start blooming in our backyard.
