This deep red colour is very evocative of Valentine’s Day, but it’s really one of summer’s loveliest gifts.

It is so luscious that it almost looks like it could be composed of velvet.

    1. Thank you, Steve. 🙂 That’s great. I love how those reminders pop up. Red Rose is a brand of tea here, as well (I think you can get it in US now too). I’m not a tea drinker, but my UK mother loved it and a red rose always nudges me that she was quite a gardener and loved to grow red roses.

    1. Thank you, Allan. That bush is really producing some stunners. I visited the rose garden again on Friday and it was producing a new set of flowers. The scent in that garden is beautiful, especially if it has been raining.
