I think that some reflection occurs and that makes the snow appear more blue. Very clean snow does have a naturally blue tinge though, so a grey sky wouldn’t affect that. Cheers.
We have to see the good in every season! Next year at this time I plan to be on a beach (such a cliché, I know, but it’s what we want to do after my departure from this high stress job.) Cheers.
As beautiful as December..😇

I work in the subarctic but my home is in a much more temperate location. Yup, the subarctic know how to do winter!

Shoot! I wanted to see a brave flower poking through the snow! Can you Photoshop it, please???

Hahaha. 🙂 I could stick a plastic flower in a snow bank, but it’s so cold out there that the petals might snap off!

This is subarctic Canada (Northwest Territories) at 62 degrees N. latitude. Winter is beautiful but cold!

The north really does feel very clean (probably because it is).

It always amazes me how white snow can look blue, even if there’s a gray sky. Yes, pretty winter scene.

Pretty and white. Too bad it’s so cold though.

Yes, going outside requires some serious bundling up. It is beautiful, though.
