Although I really am done with the cold (right now it’s -33C or -27F) I can’t deny that the northern winter is often magnificent, right down to the smallest details.

Happy Thursday.

Gorgeous photos
Thank you very much. 🙂
Its the little details that pull us through the long winter Lynette. Great shot. Allan
Thanks Allan. It certainly is.
Keep warm!
The downfills are doing their job!
Beautiful. I like the detail in the shape of the ice crystal [snowflake?]. Pretty color, too
Thank you. 🙂 It was a snowflake but I think it could be defined as an ice crystal, too.
Whoa! Who took that photo of the intricate details on a snowflake? Did you do that? How??? Wow. That’s fantastic.
We have had no precipitation here for weeks. I can’t remember the last time it rained, let alone snowed. I think some time in early November? Don’t know, but I’m hearing we’re supposed to get a rain/snow mix tomorrow morning, right in time for me to take a long drive to an appointment I have. Bleh.
Hahaha. Every now and then I get a good one, but usually my results aren’t great. I’ve been experimenting for a while but usually you need an aperture somewhere between f/5.6 and f/11. I’ve also found that angling the camera helps.
We’ve got lots of snow. I would gladly share if I could. 😉 Have a safe drive to your appointment. 🙂
What a stunning shot! And wow that’s cold! Stay warm out there.
Yesterday it suddenly warmed up from -33 to -17. -17 is still pretty cold, but after -33, it feels a whole lot better!
Wow. Just WOW!!
Glad you like it. I’m not always very successful with these. 🙂
