It’s December in the north.

When I stand in the cold to see this, I begin to get an inkling of how special it all is, and how privileged I am to be a part of it.
Greetings from the north’s best season.

Thanks Jill. 🙂 Is it getting chilly in your part of the world?

It hasn’t been frozen frozen here yet, but it’s supposed to drop to -28C (-18F) on the weekend. I hope you are able to stay cosy and warm with hot chocolate and a nice throw blanket. That’s my plan. 🙂

Eek! We’re in the “tropics” compared to you! I have to wait for the weekends to get cozy. 🙂

Hi Lynette, I’m in complete agreement with you. Winter is special! Coming from another northerner, even if on a different continent 🙂

Hi! Thanks for the visit. 🙂 I took a quick look at your site. Where are you?
Yes, it is special, and a healthy part of our planet. 🙂

I’m in the UK at the moment. Not sure how healthy it is here (politically speaking). But the four seasons are wonderful 🙂

Yes, I like the seasons as well, even if it’s nice to have a break from winter. 🙂

Gorgeous! Does your snow stick around for most of the season or do you have long stretches where you don’t see it for a while? When we get snow, most of the time we are lucky if it stays for a couple of days before it melts. We usually only get a couple of those each winter.

I am very far north (62° north latitude in the Northwest Territories) atm; this is where I work. The snow arrives and stays until March or April. The temperature is projected to drop to -28C (-18F) this weekend. It’s going to get a bit frosty. 😉

There is a lot of beauty in frigid cold. If only it weren’t so hard to tolerate!

There is a lot of beauty in it, but yes, it does have its downside. 😉
