We’re beginning to come into all the beautiful spring colours, starting with bright yellow!

Pretty, frilly forsythia blossoms have started opening in lovely yellow profusion …

… while the daffodils nod their spring approval in the breezes.

I can’t wait to see more of the colours that are headed our way.
Happy Tuesday.
Very yellow beautiful photos

It’s so pretty and bright. Yellow is such a good colour to see after winter is over. 🌼

our frilly forsythia has just the smallest buds on it… looking forward to this stage

Then it won’t be very long before they’re out and starting the landscape change from winter to spring. 🌼

Our spring is ahead a month, so most likely we are going to have few setbacks before we see them bloom. But it is something to look forward to 🙂

Yes, definitely something to stay focussed on especially if you get a couple of setbacks. 😊

Just in time for Easter, the sunny yellow blooms show up. Forsythia was just starting to bloom in Feb in Vancouver. Have a colourful day Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Yes, just in time for Easter! Vancouver is usually always ahead of us. We found it interesting on Friday that while it was 20 here, it was 22 in Osoyoos. We went there to pick up some wine and were a little surprised to notice that there was that much of a difference even 40 minutes further south. Cheers.

You bet! I occasionally see a yellow car or truck here and wow, do they stand out in the crowd!

So pretty. Our daffodils and tulips are poking through the ground looking like asparagus right now 😊

Hahaha. 😊 That’s so true. They definitely do look like asparagus. It sounds like it won’t be long before you see some blooms, though. 🌼

Good to see this colourful post, as the south coast slides back into wind and rain for a few days.

Thank you very much, Anneli. 🌼 We have rain and wind here today as well and projected for tomorrow too but the weekend is supposed to be nice. I hope for you, too.

I think we’ll have a couple more days of it, but then I hope we’ll get a break.

Beautiful. We are currently in Victoria and the cherry trees are in bloom. So glad I didn’t miss them.

That’s fantastic! They’re so gorgeous. Victoria is typically ahead of us by 2-4 weeks. Our cherries are just getting ready to bloom now.

I use the blooming of Forsythia as an indicator it’s time in the spring to begin pruning my roses. Our season of blooms, including bulbs and eventually Forsythia is still a fair bit down the road yet. 🙂 Thanks for your uplifting post.

You’re very welcome, Kate. I used to live in Canada’s far north so I understand about late springs. Yes, I’ve seen rose bush pruning here recently as well. It’s about the right time for it. Cheers.

Beautiful captures. Yellow is such a cheery and bright colour. I planted some daffodils in my front yard a few years ago. I’m looking forward to seeing them come up.

Thank you, Linda. 🌼 I agree. It’s so great to see that bright yellow after all the winter blandness and drabness, too. Enjoy your daffodils; they’re so pretty.
