Grey

We had a sun break but now it’s a return to the grey although the feature photo shows the effect of evening’s blue hour on the overcast. The daytime photo from below shows how very grey it actually was.

We have snow at the 700 metre (2396 ft) level but none here at the valley bottom.

It’s Monday. It’s grey. But I hope you have a good day anyway.

  1. Moody winter photos Lynette. Looking at the skies over a lake enhance the effect. Winter has not yet had its last gasp, as an atmospheric river will flow over all of Alberta today dumping more snow on bare ground. Happy Family Day. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. You’re definitely right about winter. Right now I’m looking at our first snowfall. It’s melting as it reaches the ground (it’s +4 out) but it’s very thick. I can only see about 6-7 metres. We were thinking of a drive to Kelowna today but we’ll leave that for another time – a great perk of retirement! Happy Family Day.

  2. Man, that’s really beautiful! So angry yet gorgeous. I’m grateful that the snow here also stays high in the mountains where it belongs, Lynette. 👍🏻

    1. Thank you, Linda. It’s not very cold here either (although people are complaining about it we’re really all very fortunate) since our highs are still above 0C. Everyone in Central and Atlantic Canada deserves some respite from all that nasty weather, though!
