September Beach

We are still experiencing relatively high temperatures of 30-35C (86-95F) and as a result the beaches remain very busy as people try to cool off or just enjoy the last bits of summer before it drifts gently into autumn.

The evenings are very pleasant and the beaches still inviting as people continue to enjoy them after dark and even swimming in the summer-warm lake.

Happy mid-week.

  1. Lovely photos. It is a very long time since I last swam in the sea…we are land locked. But we visit anyone twice a year but it always seems too cold. I love the blues in the photos, very striking

    1. Actually, we are landlocked also. The pictures show a big lake that’s very popular. It warms up during the summer and is really beautiful for swimming. Yes, the blues were very prominent that evening. Cheers.

    1. We keep hearing about drops to the 20s as well but after a day or two they go up again. Agreed that those daytime temperatures sure provide nice evenings but I’ll be happy to see a bit of cooler weather. Cheers.

  2. Sounds like an endless summer. Glorious as the seasons change. I think we will get a change at the new moon, but it is going to 27 in Jasper today. Happy Wednesday Lyenette. Allan

        1. Our temperatures are projected to drop into the 20s next week but the forecasts this summer have been very inaccurate so I’m not going to hold my breath. I’ll believe it when I feel it! Enjoy your cooler temperatures. Cheers.
