Walk with Me

Scenes from a recent walk …

… a stretch of natural beach …

… with, of course, some late season ducklings …

… a single cumulus cloud …

… and a lovely sailboat.

Tranquil sights in the heart of summer.

Happy Wednesday.

  1. What a glorious day and walk Lynette. On days like that, you just want to walk forever, until your body reminds you why you should not. Ahhhh, good summer days. Happy Wednesday. Allan

    1. Thank you very much, Allan. I do feel that way but yes, I have to listen to my body and also pay attention to the heat. We’re getting 36 today so it’s important to get out early but also to stop when I literally start feeling the heat! But yes, such great summer days. 😊

    1. This actually is a popular year-round holiday area with everyone from families on the beaches to adults in the wineries and then there’s downhill skiing in the winter. We feel very fortunate to live here in this beautiful region.

    1. Thanks for noticing! I love those moods, shades, textures and ripples. All lakes have them, including Great Slave Lake when I lived near it, but it had a much different character, more knowing, somehow.

    1. You’re welcome, Linda. This trail is in city limits but has been left “natural.” Bylaw patrols it but there aren’t any improvements of any kind. It’s really lovely. It’s not crowded but some people do like to picnic and swim along there. You definitely need your hiking shoes for parts of it though. Cheers.
