Sunny Walk

I love how beautiful early spring can be …

… with its soft breezes …

… and warm sun that allows you to unzip your jacket and bask in the mellow comfort …

… before the harshness of high temperatures send us shade-scurrying to avoid the burning golden summer eye.

  1. Spring, the shoulder season of summer. Nicer to be warm than hot. I always find summer in the Okanagan to be too hot, although summer has also become hotter (and smokier) here too. Enjoy the spring Lynette. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. I agree; nicer to be warm than hot. Of course, there has been a lot of smoke here too, and so regularly that the national Ironman competition – located here for 30 years – moved to Ottawa because of it. We’ve had a lot of rain over the last four months; enough I hope to keep the fires down this year. Cheers.

  2. Pretty. I love taking pictures of the sun through the trees.

Last Friday, here, it was 80f (26c), then we got an inch of snow on Sunday! The fluctuation of weather is crazy here this time of year.

  3. I know that feeling well, though of course in England not as extreme. Those days when you unzip the jacket, and let the Spring sun caress your skin, when a T shirt is enough…..until the sun goes down and you’re suddenly reminded that it’s only April (or whatever)

    1. I love those lovely warm spring days and yes, exactly as you say. The sun goes down and you’re suddenly reminded that it’s April. We have temperate winters but the summers can be scorching. 40 isn’t at all unusual.
