Sparkle

A beautiful trail view of Okanagan Lake as the sun shines on it …

… but that sunny weather has been replaced with this, unfortunately …

… looks almost like winter except that the temperature, thankfully, is about 10C (50F). It’s drizzly and overcast but at least there’s no snow. March is proving to be much more liony than lamby.

Happy Sunday.

    1. We have definitely had periods of roaring wind and in fact had some this morning (has blown itself out now, though). I tend to stay inside when the wind is enough to rip my jacket off, probably leaving just the sleeves behind. 😉

  1. Viewing your photos I can feel the crisp clean breeze touching my cheeks as if I were there. Groovy! 🏄‍♂️

  2. Beautiful set of shots, even the last one with the gloomy skies. It has been very liony here too. I’m starting to see some early spring flowers starting to emerge from the ground. A very promising sign.

    1. Thank you very much, Linda. I’ve spotted some early ones around here, too – so great to see them. I’ve looked at a couple of different long-range weather forecasts and both said that North America would tend toward a late, cooler spring influenced by La Niña. For us in the west, that’s maybe not such a bad thing since we’ve had three years of terrible forest fires.

      1. I’m okay with a late and cooler spring too as I find this temperature much more comfortable for walking than when it’s hot and humid outside! I’m always disappointed when it goes from spring to summer in a couple of weeks.

        1. As I age I’m not handling the heat as well as I used to and especially find humidity difficult, so I’m okay with cooler temperatures, too. I agree about those short springs followed by blistering hot summers that we’ve been getting.

    1. That’s very true, Belinda. 😊 I’ve looked at a couple of long-range weather models that are both predicting a cooler, later spring for North America because of the La Niña effect, though. We’re probably going to see more overcast and rain for a bit still.

        1. It sure isn’t! We’ve definitely had whiplash weather – although nothing as extreme as a lot of places – today was another example of it. Mist, heavy overcast and rain in the morning followed by a couple of hours of howling wind and then a clear sky and gorgeous sunset!
