Thanks, Cindy. I’ve stayed at the lodge a few times and will stop there to stretch my legs if I’m passing through. It’s my all-time favourite walk.

I’ll never forget Emerald lake, it’s beautiful water and its raging power as it falls into the Kicking Horse river, very well named. Long live glorious Canada.

Hi Kenny, a correction: Emerald Lake was never on the ten. It was Maligne Lake (further north near Jasper) that used to be on the ten. Cheers.

You should know that part of Jasper townsite burned in a terrible forest fire last year. All services are back in place now though and they’re encouraging people to visit so that the town can get back on its feet financially. Cheers.
