I saw some buds on the ash tree saplings lining one of the city streets! I unfortunately didn’t have any kind of photographic device with me in order to post a picture here, but these little buds were a wonderful sight to see!
In that spirit, I’m posting some spring flower pictures from last year; I hope they brighten your spirits and help you to forget for a bit about the cold, the wet, the snow, and the wind.

I think you’ll find the primrose is actually a periwinkle / vinca major, but yes, it’s nice to see the spring flowers appearing.

Thanks Jude. I did know that this is a periwinkle but had a momentary dropout and for some unknown reason labelled it as a primrose. 🙄 It has since been corrected. I was delighted to see the tree buds!

Yes, it seems most people are impatient for spring this year but understandably since it’s been a rather bad winter. At least we’re starting to see some signs!
