It depends on the sun’s angle relative to the horizon. In autumn we rotate away from the sun; in spring we rotate toward it. Because of that, late autumn and winter sunsets tend to produce pinks, reds and purples while spring and summer sunsets are at a better angle for the oranges and golds. It’s a good sign right now that we’re rotating into spring. 😊
