   1. I think they did although the lead goose stared suspiciously at me after I had taken the pictures and was watching them congregate in the shallow water.

7. Nice to see a place where water still flows Lynette. The geese have found a happy place, without expending the effort to migrate. Do these ones stay there year round? Happy Friday. Allan

   1. We have a bit of ice in very shallow spots like the creek and ponds, but none at all along the lakeshore. I’ve noticed two family groups of about 14-15 individuals, one on each side of the lake – east and west – that are here year-round. At least, they have juveniles among them so I’m assuming they’re family groups. They seem to fly back and forth between the two lakes and look hale and hardy, so not migrating appears to have been good for them!

    1. It was such a pretty sight, Belinda, but I scrabbled a bit to capture the geese as they were moving along quickly. I was happy I was able to get them in the frame. 😊
