We had a dusting of snow …

… which turned our January drabs …

… into prettily frosted scenes …

… windless and tranquil. Perfect January.

The icing on the January cake Lynette. I wish the winds would stop here. Another snow squall yesterday with gusts to 47 k/h all night long. Happy Friday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. The winter winds can be so nasty. That was the worst part of the winter in NWT; at least once or twice a week it was absolutely howling off Great Slave Lake. Stay warm.

Looks and sounds lovely 😊. We have sun and blue skies, now if it just didn’t feel like -27C 😏

Thank you very much. 😊 Yikes, Belinda, that’s cold! 🥶 At least it’s sunny, though.

The chill is moving in everywhere. Beautiful to look at though.

We’re sitting at zero and the snow has basically melted, so it didn’t last long. Weather forecasters keep saying that our highs are going to drop to -3 or -4, but that hasn’t happened yet. At least we’re not dealing with the bone-chilling cold of the east!

Snow always makes winter better, in my opinion.

It didn’t last very long, only a few hours. It was quite pretty for a while.

Lovely photos, Lynette! Pictures of snow always fascinate me, as we don’t have it here in my country.

Thank you very much, Mrs Wayfarer. 😊 Some parts of Canada get lots of it while others don’t get any at all. The snow we just had was very pretty but didn’t last long; other parts have had serious snowstorms this year. Cheers.

Thank you very much, Linda. The snow only lasted a few hours; it’s completely gone now so we’re back to the winter browns. (If it hung around I would probably complain about that, too. 😉)
