These photos are from a brief trip to Medicine Hat where the cottonwoods along the river were lasting quite well. I enjoy the colours every year, but yes, I am particularly enjoying them this year!
That looks familiar from my time in the South. Those cottonwoods may be tortured and twisted looking, but they are true survivors through drought and cold. Happy Friday Lynette. Allan
I love the cottonwoods, especially the older ones. Agreed, they may be twisted and gnarled but they are true survivors. Their shapes reflect the struggle to carry on in an area where the weather can be very inhospitable.
