In Canada, today is a holiday. Officially, it’s Thanksgiving, but many people celebrate its spirit on Saturday, Sunday or today. It depends on how you want to arrange it and the availability of friends and family. I think that most people like to have the Monday to just be, though.

If that’s the case, it’s an excellent day for gentle walking and enjoyment of the autumn weather.

Wherever you are, I hope that you have had the opportunity to be together with friends, family, or to enjoy the weekend in whatever way suits you best.

    1. Ours is about seven weeks earlier than the U.S. Thanksgiving so if you hear of it again (which is likely here on WP) that would be theirs. I agree, every day is one to give thanks for; good to remember that. Cheers.

  3. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We hosted my family on Saturday and went to the in-laws yesterday so today will be much quieter. We’re hoping to take it easy, eat leftovers and go for a long walk.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving Lynette. Now that our company has moved on, I am giving thanks for all the leaves on my lawn that are now apparently part of my exercise program. Enjoy the day. It will be 18 here, quite nice for mid October. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. You have built-in outdoor exercise! Honestly I was never a fan of leaf raking and am I glad I don’t have to now. We have 18 as well; the weather has been really great. Will be doing walkings later today. Cheers.

    1. Thank you very much, Penny. I agree – no matter how much Poilievre moans and rants to the contrary – that we have lots to be grateful for and to honour and protect. (Sorry to bring in politics, but I’m tired of hearing him say that Canada is “broken.” Ugh.)

      1. PP is a nasty creature and I will never forgive him for supporting the “freedom convoy” thugs — purely because he saw an opportunity to stick it to the Liberals. He stuck it to democracy and the rule of law at the same time. And he didn’t care.

        1. I couldn’t agree with you more. He will do ANYTHING to get into the PM’s office. What’s more galling is that people will vote for that grifter just because he’s an obvious alternative, not because he’s doing anything better than Trudeau (or Singh).
